Lino printing is one of the simplest forms of hand printmaking. It provides a striking effect, but is not suitable for reproducing fine detail.
Sketch your image onto the surface of the lino, then use lino cutters to carve away the areas you do not want to print. The raised areas are then inked with a roller. Next apply a sheet of paper face down onto the inked lino, and transfer the ink by rubbing the back of the paper with a roller. This will produce a mirror image of your original sketch.
